Judgment
Moving Lines
1
Regret vanishes. Lose a horse, do not chase it; it returns of itself. Meet an evil person, no blame.
3
See a carriage dragged; its oxen jerked; its person shaven-headed and nose-cut; no beginning, has an end.
Ancient Comments on the Moving Lines
3
Seeing a carriage dragged—the position is not fitting. No beginning, has an end—meeting firmness.
Ancient Comments on the Judgment
Divergence: fire moves and goes up, marsh moves and goes down; two women dwell together, their intentions do not go the same way; delighting and clinging to brightness, the yielding advances and proceeds upward, obtains the center and responds to the firm; therefore small matters are auspicious. Heaven and earth diverge, yet their affairs are the same; male and female diverge, yet their intentions communicate; myriad things diverge, yet their affairs are of a kind; the use of the time of divergence is great indeed!
