Ancient Comments on the Moving Lines
1
Not prolonging the matter: contention cannot be made long. Although there are minor words, the argument is made clear.
2
Unable to prevail in contention: returning, fleeing, hiding. Contending from below against above, trouble arrives and is gathered.
Ancient Comments on the Judgment
Opposing Paths: above firm, below perilous; peril and vigor together—this is contention. Opposing Paths: trust exists, yet is blocked; be alert. In the middle, auspicious, because the firm comes and obtains the center. In the end, disastrous, because contention cannot be completed. Advantageous to see a great person, for centered-correctness is valued. Not advantageous to cross the great river, for it is entering into the abyss.
